CUClickers / iclickers

Overview
The CUClickers, or iclicker technology, allows students to participate in classes and answer questions provided by the instructor. OIT’s iclicker service is available in most classrooms and lecture hall media cabinets.
BEFORE THE START OF THE SEMESTER:
- Before the start of each semester, make sure you are using the most recent OIT provided iclicker and igrader software:

- Please trade in your charcoal colored iclicker receivers for new white iclicker receivers. The old receivers may have issues with recognizing new versions of clickers resulting in incorrect student data. To return your old iclicker receiver and get a new one, contact the IT Service Center.

- A student’s iclicker remote is associated with his or her CU Login Name. This feature allows instructors to gather data on student responses.

Cost
- iclicker infrastructure is provided as a common-good to the campus which means there is no direct cost to you or your department.
Who can get it
- iclicker remotes are available to all CU-Boulder faculty, staff and students.
How to get it
- Students can puchase iClicker remotes at the CU Bookstore and register the device in MyCUInfo.
- Students must register new iclickers online with CU.
- Instructors can download iclicker's software from OIT's website.
- In most classrooms and lecture halls, Instructors can use the iClicker base station that is stowed in the media cabinet. Media cabinets can be opened with a master key. View the room list.
- If a base station isn't available in the classroom, check one out from OIT.
- Frequency assignments are mounted on the wall in classrooms and lecture halls. View the frequency assignments.
