Cory Pavicich has worked in educational technology as a classroom teacher, designer, and consultant, and holds an M.Ed. from Harvard University ('06) and a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder (‘04). Cory enjoys attacking ambitious design projects that highlight the innovative spirit of the University. Recent efforts include a leadership role deploying CU Boulder’s first MOOCs, serving as the architect of the College of Engineering’s first online core course (the 950+ student Introduction to Engineering) and designing the Engineering Honors eportfolio program. Cory is willing to buy coffee for anyone who will spend an hour talking about individualized education at scale, and how technology will make education more effective, affordable, and accessible. (Just mention this offer in an email.)
Before joining the Design Team Cory served as Director of Technology at a local private school, designed and taught computer-based summer camps for kids, and regularly consults and teaches on behalf of Google and the Google Teacher Academy. Additionally, Cory has worked as a Solar Energy installer, as a contributor to a book in the field of leadership studies, and once spent a summer mowing lawns to pay his CU tuition.
When he is not on campus, you may find Cory with his wife and two young daughters building geodesic domes for the Burning Man festival.
