The Law School’s Technology Topics Brown Bag Series ends its fantastic Fall lineup with Getting Started Collaborating with Google Docs and Drive

Last Updated: 11/19/2013

Cory Pavicich, Academic Technology Consultant for the College of Engineering and one of fewer than twenty rotating professionals invited by Google to regularly present at the prestigious Google Teacher Academy, came over to Wolf Law this month to show law faculty and staff how they can collaborate with colleagues and students using this powerful productivity suite.

The Technology Topics Brown Bag included:

  • An overview of Google Drive functions and uses;
  • How to log-in, create, and manage Google documents, presentations, and spreadsheets;
  • How to collaborate in real-time with up to 50 other users;
  • How to use Google Drive as 30GB of free, University-provided file hosting; and
  • Suggestions on when to use Google Drive, MS Office, and other productivity solutions.

Many thanks to Cory for sharing his knowledge and expertise, and a shout out to Brad Grabham, ATC for the School of Education and the College of Music, for his enthusiastic assistance with the demo.
