The Consolidated Printing project was initiated to replace the current Student Printing and Scanning Services Consolidated Print contract with Xerox that came up for renewal on July 31, 2013. This Xerox contract provided OIT-managed printing and scanning equipment and services to students primarily via computing labs across the CU-Boulder campus.

It was determined that Xerox will remain the vendor for all student printing and scanning needs, and the new contract is being undertaken in such a way to allow for flexibility and scalability as it pertains to existing student customers as well as future customers within the university that would like to take advantage of OIT-managed printing and scanning services.

Customer Benefit

As a result of the new contract, current managed printers will be updated to the newest models and new printing services such as mobile printing and remote driver printing will continue to be enhanced, providing students with state-of-the-art printing and scanning solutions. In addition, future customers such as residential halls or departments will benefit from the new contract’s scalability, allowing them to take advantage of OIT’s managed print services.
