Description
Develop a demonstration/test WiMAX environment to meet the needs of telecommunications researchers and educators on campus and to demonstrate "substantial service" of the Educations Broadband Service (EBS) spectrum currently allocated to the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Customer Benefit
By retaining its current allocation of the Educational Broadband Spectrum (EBS), the University may lease a portion of that spectrum to a vendor of voice and data services. This could ultimately benefit the campus both financially and educationally. Providing WiMAX services in classroom and lab environments supports the Engineering and Computer
Science curriculum. Additionally, this project will provide Wi-Fi service on university buses to support student curricular and co-curricular activities.
