Admitted/New Students

Welcome International Students, we look forward to meeting you and are thrilled that you have made the decision to attend CU-Boulder! Our department, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), works with over 2000 international students and 700 visiting scholars each year and we are proud to have over 90 countries represented by our international student body. Here at CU, we greatly value not only the diverse and wonderful culture each international student brings to our campus but also the wider global mindset they inspire!

*Chancellor’s Reception for New International Students is Friday, August 14, 2015 UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom at 4:00 p.m. All levels of international students are welcome to attend the Chancellor’s Welcome and Orientation Kick-off Celebration on Friday, August 14th!

All international students are REQUIRED to attend an International Student Orientation for their level of study, complete their Pre-Arrival Orientation Course, and attend an Immigration Reporting Session. International students are required by immigration law to “report” and attend an immigration session with ISSS when you arrive in Boulder. Attendance and completion are tracked.

*Please keep in mind when making travel arrangements that you MUST arrive to Boulder to attend your mandatory orientation program. However, all students may enter up to 30 days before the start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019.
