Parcels and Personal Mail:

As soon as you have an address in Boulder, please inform your friends and family. ISSS does not have room to store boxes and luggage. Please do not have parcels mailed to ISSS. Once you know your local address, you may arrange to have packages sent to you there. If you will live in a residence hall, you can have your linens and other baggage sent directly to your residence hall. Keep in mind, too, that you do not have to buy linens from a vendor and have them sent to your dorm room. You can buy sheets to fit dormitory beds at Target, Boulder 's higher quality discount store.

We suggest that you send any unaccompanied baggage by air freight or by parcel post since previous students have experienced fewer delays, less damage and theft, and less paperwork by this method. Insure all packages against loss or damage. Mark all packages of clothing and personal effects as "USED" in order to avoid having to pay US Customs charges.

You may have your mail sent to you in care of ISSS until you have a mailing address in Boulder. Such mail should be addressed to:

Your Name
c/o International Student and Scholar Services
University of Colorado at Boulder

123 UCB
Boulder, CO 80309-0123

USA

If the only way you can receive mail is through ISSS, you will be notified if you have mail to pick up.  Please DO NOT HAVE magazine subscriptions, books, mail from your home college or university, or mail from professional organizations sent to you in care of ISSS.
