F1 and J1 students may enter the US up to 30 days before the start date on your I-20 or DS-2019.
Plan your flight so that you will arrive in Denver at least one day before you are required to be at CU. The recommended arrival date varies depending upon if you are an undergraduate (including transfer students), graduate student, graduate teaching assistant or exchange student.
All new international students are invited to attend the Chancellor's Welcome and Orientation Kick-off for new international students on August 14th!
All undergraduates and undergraduate transfer students are required to attend International Student Orientation. The mandatory program begins August 14, 2015. Please plan to spend a few days attending your required program and do not schedule other activities for these days.
Important Information for New International Students for Fall 2015:
All new and transfer international undergraduate students will complete an Immigration Reporting Session with ISSS during their Orientation program.
All graduate students must sign up (Coming in March) for an Immigration Reporting Session AND attend the required ISSS Orientation program on August 22, 2015 (Location Coming Soon). Registration is required for the reporting sessions (registration is free).
Exchange Students (at CU on reciprocal contracts only) will complete the J-1 Exchange Student Immigration Reporting on August 20, 2015. Exchange students must also attend the required ISSS Orientation program on August 22, 2015 (Location Coming Soon).
New undergraduate International Students with a residence hall contract may move in to their residence hall room beginning on August 14, 2015. Graduate and exchange students can move in beginning August 20, 2015. All residence hall students will receive more specific information regarding the move-in and check-in process dorectly from Housing.
