F1 and J1 students may enter the US up to 30 days before the start date on your I-20 or DS-2019.
Plan your flight so that you will arrive in Denver at least one day before you are required to be at CU. The recommended arrival date varies depending upon if you are an undergraduate (including transfer students), graduate student, graduate teaching assistant or exchange student.
All undergraduates and undergraduate transfer students are required to sign up for and attend an Academic Orientation, please see: orientation.colorado.edu. Sign up now. All undergraduates must attend an academic orientation in order to register for classes.
Important Information for New International Students for Fall 2013. All new and transfer international students enrolling in the Fall 2013 semester MUST complete the Immigration Check in with ISSS no later than Friday, August 23 AND attend the required Welcome Meeting(Thursday afternoon, August 22 for Undergraduates and Saturday morning, August 24 for Graduate students). EXCHANGE STUDENTS (at CU on reciprocal contracts only) must register for Check-In at link coming soon.
New International Students may move-in to their residence hall room beginning at 12 noon on Sunday, August 18. There is an extra charge for room and board for the two days prior to the beginning of the residence hall contract period, which begins on Tuesday, August 20. Students moving in on Monday, August 19 will be charged $52.59 for one extra day and those moving in on Sunday, August 18 will be charged $105.80 for the two extra days.
For students who complete a 12-month residence hall contract to live in Willard Hall, those students may move-in beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16. There is no extra charge for moving in on Friday as those charges are included in the rates for the 12-month contract.
