First Generations Scholars Program a comprehensive community based program which includes student development, counseling and academic support for eligible scholarship recipients. Students are welcomed into the program upon confirmation to CU and given assistance through graduation. Students must fulfill program requirements to maintain eligibility. Requirements are designed to foster individual academic excellence, as well as enhance social development through active participation in a variety of community building opportunities. White Antelope Memorial Scholarship Program (WAMS): established in 1988 for American Indian students and dedicated to the memory of the Cheyenne and Arapahoe people who lost their lives in the Sand Creek Massacre of 1864. Scholarships are awarded based on need and program participation.
