About the Chancellor's
Committee on Women
The Chancellor's Committee on Women (CCW) was established in April 1996.
The CCW is an informed advocate for all women on campus classified
and unclassified staff; tenure-track and non-tenure track faculty; undergraduate,
graduate, and professional students; and administrators.
- We monitor
the status of women on campus.
- We recommend
policy to create significant change.
- We work
to assure justice and equity for women at CU-Boulder.
The CCW is comprised of representatives of all women on campus. The
CCW has undertaken initiatives in the following areas in the past several
years:
- Data
collection and reporting on the status of women. These data were not

participation in diversity efforts and committees across campus.
- Promotion
and support for the development of mentoring programs for women faculty.
- Continual
monitoring and feedback on sexual harassment policy and revisions
to the policy.
- Safety
and health initiatives for women on campus.
The CCW intends to initiate or continue actions as a result of its analysis
and findings for this Status of Women Report:
