Continuing Education: Graduate Student ACCESS Survey, Fall 2004
The Graduate Student ACCESS Survey was designed by the Division of Continuing Education and the Graduate School to collect data that could be used in improving the transition program for students moving from ACCESS to graduate school. A web-based questionnaire, consisting of multiple-choice and open-ended response items, was administered in November 2004 to currently enrolled degree-seeking graduate students with valid email addresses who had taken any ACCESS courses within the last three years. Students who requested a privacy flag on their records were not included in the population.
To encourage students to respond, an opportunity to win one of four $250 scholarships was offered to those who completed the web-based questionnaire by November 18, 2004. A total of 103 students responded, for an overall response rate of 35%. Response rates over sub-populations varied considerably.
In addition to results for the entire population results are provided by gender, class level, and college. A list of all open-ended responses is also provided. These are organized by questionnaire item, college, and class level.
