Most of the data referenced on this page are publicly available and summarized using Tableau, a data visualization platform. For the few cases where the data is private or is available in a different format (e.g., Excel file), a note is provided at the end of the description.
- The ARP process was initiated fall 2008, replacing the Program Review Panel (PRP) process. ARP uses standard "unit profiles" produced by ODA for units undergoing review in any year of the ARP cycle.
- Also includes over-time visualization of key metrics for departments (e.g., student enrollment, demographics, retention and graduation rates, and degrees awarded by degree level; SCH by instructor type; research expenditures).
- Department Review visualization provides a detailed exploration of departmental research activity based on tenure/tenure track faculty in departments during Academic Year 2019-20 compared to AAU Public peer departments within the same discipline(s). (Private – access restricted to academic department leadership who may request access.)
- Admissions:
- Admission Counts and Academic Preparation visualizes applied/admitted/enrolled student counts and average standardized test scores over time by school/college, major and demographic variables.
- Enrollment:
- Fall Enrollment Counts of active majors for students enrolled as of fall census. Fall census is the primary enrollment measure used for benchmarking, reporting to system, state and federal levels, and unit funding. Visualization includes college and major enrollment counts over time by demographics, residency, and full or part-time status.
- International Student Counts enrolled during the fall semester
- Fall enrollment counts for undergraduate minors, concurrent bachelor’s-master’s degree students and sub-plans are also available (Excel)
- Spring Enrollment Counts also available. However, use fall census for official counts. Spring used primarily for internal benchmarking.

- Time to Degree (TTD):
- CU Boulder Undergraduate TTD Data over time for college and major (Excel)
- AAUDE Peer Comparison Undergraduate TTD Data over time by degree. Includes AAU public peers who have submitted data for the AAUDE survey in at least four of the last five years. (Excel)
- CU Boulder Graduate Student TTD Data by degree level, college and major for graduates over the last three fiscal years (Excel)
- Degrees Awarded:
- Degrees Awarded by Degree Level visualization over time for the campus, school/college and major

- Alumni:
- Alumni Career Information visualizes employment information (job titles, employers and estimated salaries) as of February 2018 for CU alumni that graduated 1997-2017. Results available for undergraduate and graduate students by school/college and major/program.
- Graduate Students Only:
- The Graduate Student Data Transparency Report provides a comprehensive visualization of key graduate student metrics (e.g., admissions, enrollment, degrees, TTD, financial support, GRE scores) over time for a specified major.

- Faculty Course Questionnaire (FCQ) Results for student evaluations of teaching. FCQ results may be viewed for specific instructors, or filtered to provide summaries for a college/school or department. Note: Per direction from the Provost, FCQ results are not available for spring/summer 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Distribution of FCQ scores and averages visualized for Fall 2020 – Present, Fall 2017 – Fall 2019, and instructor summaries visualized for Fall 2006 – Fall 2019.

- The Faculty Report of Professional Activity (FRPA) collects information on faculty’s annual activities in the categories of Teaching, Scholarly Work, Creative Work and Service. Unit administrators may access FRPA reports for their faculty through the reporting module, FRPAport. (Private – access restricted using FRPA login credentials. For help, contact FRPA@colorado.edu.)
- Academic Analytics (AA) at CU Boulder tracks faculty scholarly activity metrics. (Private – access restricted to academic department leadership who may request access.)

- Course Pathways helps to visualize the progression of students through a particular course or major. There are three visualizations in this series: (1) Pathways by Course, (2) Pathways by Student, and (3) Pathways by Term. (Private – access restricted to academic department leadership who may request access.)
All survey results are available for campus, college/schools and majors. Additionally, survey results can be filtered or compared using various demographics fields that are included in the reports.
- First-Year Students:
- National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is administered every four years in spring semester to both first-year students and seniors. Results over time since 2000.
- New Student Survey (NSS) is administered each semester to first-year students (first-time and transfer) prior to arriving at CU Boulder
- Follow-Up New Student Survey (FUNSS) is administered each fall semester to first-year students (first-time and transfer) halfway through students’ first semester at CU Boulder.
- Seniors:
- National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is administered every four years in spring semester to both first-year students and seniors. Results over time since 2000.
- Senior Exit Survey is administered every four years in spring semester to seniors prior to graduation (results available summer 2021)
- Graduate Students:
- gradSERU is administered every two years in spring semester to all graduate students (excluding Law students). (results available summer 2021)
- Alumni:
- Graduate Destinations Survey is administered three times per year to all CU alumni (undergraduate and graduate students) six months after graduating from CU Boulder
