The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) closeout deadline for grants is 90 days after the award end date. It is possible to request an extension to the closeout period, which is not a “no cost extension” but allows additional time to submit final closeout reports. Without such an extension for the closeout period, NOAA’s system will automatically lock the Principal Investigator and OCG out at the end of the 90-day window.

For those locked out of Grants Online due to a past due final reporting requirement, please send an email to either ocgcloseout@colorado.edu or ocgreports@colorado.edu so OCG can contact the NOAA Grants Officer to resolve the issue.

The Grants Oversight and New Efficiency (GONE) Act became law on January 29, 2016, to ensure timely agency closeout for expired awards.

If you need assistance with your award closeout, please contact ocgcloseout@colorado.edu.
