Apply for Housing
CU Boulder's residential communities provide a lot of resources to help students transition into university life.
Freshman students are required to live on campus for their first year at CU Boulder and students who confirm their intent to enroll by May 1 are guaranteed a place to live. Housing reservations are processed in the order they are received. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to get one of your top choices. Applying early also means that you get the option to participate in the roommate selection process.
Transfer students have the choice to live either on or off campus. Find out about your on-campus community options, including the TransferWest Living & Learning Community. If you choose to live on campus, make sure to apply early. Space is limited and accommodations cannot be guaranteed. If you prefer to live off campus, work with our Off-Campus Housing Office to stay informed and find out what your best options are.
Please note: the $300 on-campus housing deposit must be paid at the time of application. You need to activate your IdentiKey before you can apply for on-campus housing. It typically takes three business days after you activate your IdentiKey before you can apply for housing.
