Engineering Leadership Program

Engineers have the opportunity to “make a world of difference” through their chosen careers. Equipped with technical knowledge, and analytical and problem-solving skills, they have the know-how to create things that make the world a better place.

In the 21st century, as the rate of technological change accelerates and the world is becoming more interconnected, engineers are needed as leaders in a wide range of fields, including business, government, law, medicine, and community service.

The engineer of the future will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills to fully understand and solve the complex problems we face. Tomorrow’s leaders must understand and practice global collaboration, sustainability, innovation, ethics, integrity, judgment, and moral courage.

The Engineering Leadership Program is for students who:

  • Want to broaden their academic education beyond the engineering/science arena.
  • Have self-initiative and a desire to take on personal and professional development opportunities.
  • Want to engage in a self-developed learning track and are not necessarily looking for a "prescribed" program.
  • WANT TO LEAD ... in their professions, their communities, and beyond.
