Daniel Baker, director of the Laboratory
for Atmospheric and Space Physics. The photo he holds shows Dr. Chawla
operating the Mechanics of Granular Materials (MGM) experiment. Baker
has been involved in the NASA space program for many years, most recently
at CU-Boulder where he has overseen the CU instruments and data processing
of university instruments on board NASA's Galileo Mission to Jupiter
and the Cassini mission now en route to Saturn.

Assistant professor David Klauss, associate
director for Research at BioServe Space Technologies headquartered
in CU's aerospace engineering department. He has been involved in
a number of experiments and hardware projects designed and built by
BioServe.

astrophysical and planetary sciences department. He has been involved
in a number of NASA projects, including the design of experiments,
sounding rockets, spacecraft and an upcoming instrument on the Hubble
Space Telescope known as the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph.
