CU Police release composite sketch in aggravated assault at Broadway underpass

The University of Colorado Boulder Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying suspects involved in the Broadway underpass assault on August 23, 2013. 

A composite sketch of one of the suspects, identified as Suspect #2 below, is shown here. Multiple witnesses confirmed that Suspect #2 left the scene with a bloody nose. An additional witness, who reportedly had contact with the suspects shortly after the assault, has told police the two suspects indicated that they are freshmen at CU. 

Anyone who has information about this crime, or who believes they may know the identity of those involved, should contact CU Police at 303-492-6666.

From academic programs to smart building features, residence life filled with lessons

More than just a place to sleep, CU-Boulder's residence halls are host to community and learning environments to support a diverse student body.

As nearly 6,500 students move to campus this week for the 2013-14 school year, CU-Boulder's newest residence hall, Kittredge Central, is welcoming students for the first time. Also, the nearby Kittredge West residence hall is reopened after renovations.

Feather colors may be for more than just looks: Hue can affect bird health

For female North American barn swallows, looking good pays healthy dividends.

A new study conducted at the University of Colorado Boulder and involving Cornell University shows the outward appearance of female barn swallows, specifically the hue of their chestnut-colored breast feathers, has an influence on their physiological health.

Krewella to headline Welcomefest Concert Aug. 24

Krewella will headline the annual Welcomefest Concert taking place on Farrand Field on Saturday, Aug. 24. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show begins at 6 p.m. The annual Welcomefest Concert is sponsored by Program Council. This event is open only to currently enrolled CU-Boulder students. Current students can get in to the concert with a VALID BuffOne card (Expired cards will not work). Valid BuffOne Cards will be scanned in exchange for a wristband on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. - noon at the C4C, from noon - 10 p.m. at the northeast side of Farrand Field, and from 5 - 10 p.m. at the southwest side of Farrand Field.

Bike station

Bike registration: Free and online!

CU's Parking & Transportation Services and the Environmental Center have partnered to make bike registration online and now free of charge for faculty, staff, and students. You will need your manufacturer, model, color, and serial number to register you bike.

Start or continue riding with the CU Equestrian Team

Love riding but don't know how to in college? Join the CU Equestrian Team! We are a completely student run club and offer the opportunity for leadership and riding development. We have both western and hunt seat teams with a chance to compete through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. We welcome riders of all levels and backgrounds. If you’re interested check out our website, like our facebook page and join us at our new member meeting Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m.  in HUMN 250.
