John Legend to speak and perform at CU-Boulder Feb. 25

John Legend, nine-time Grammy Award winner, multi-talented artist and public education activist, will speak and perform on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. at Macky Auditorium.

Alone on Valentine's Day?

The reminders are everywhere. Candy hearts and roses displayed prominently in grocery stores, while radio and TV ads for jewelry and chocolates are broadcast daily. They’re reminders that it’s time to spoil your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day.

But what if you’re single and feeling left out? How do you handle Valentine’s Day alone? The answer? Find others just like you and do something fun together, says CU-Boulder counselor and psychologist Glenda Russell.

Finalists announced for Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy

The University of Colorado Boulder today announced three finalists for the inaugural Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy. This month, the finalists will make one-day campus visits, during which they will hold public forums.

Since last summer, an advisory committee has been working to identify finalists. The committee has sought a “highly visible” scholar who is “deeply engaged in either the analytical scholarship or practice of conservative thinking and policymaking or both.”

Housing and Dining Services is seeking applicants for the position of Residence Life Night Orientation Coordinator to work June 13-July 19 during summer 2013. This position is a vital component of the New Student Orientation experience -- assisting students and their families in the transition to living on campus, introducing components of student life and working to facilitate the objectives of the program.

Come hear about how the people of Boulder and Jalapa, Nicaragua created Friendship City Projects, a partnership that has brought clean water to destitute rural communities, empowered women through co-op programs and fostered educational programs. CU Cleantech is hosting a business plan competition targeting renewable energy/cleantech ideas. Prize...$100,000 and the chance to present at the national level Department of Energy event. Submission deadline is Mar. 4 and all that is needed to compete is a 2 page summary of your technology/idea.

International Dialogues- Let's Talk!

International Student and Scholar Services is hosting a CU Dialogues session for people interested in international student issues, including culture, diversity, identity and integration. All CU students are invited to join us.

This facilitated conversation will promote: individual identity awareness, understanding of cultural differences, and awareness of multiple perspectives.
