Campus No Smoking Policy signed, awareness and implementation phase begins

Chancellor DiStefano signed the new campus No Smoking Policy on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013. The policy, which mandates a no smoking campus beginning Aug. 19, 2013, has a transition period that includes deployment of campus signage, facilities considerations, and the promotion of policy awareness and resources for those who wish to quit smoking.

As part of the phased implementation, there also will be a limited number of designated outdoor smoking areas away from public activity, for use through the end of December 2013.

Solo and satisfied: Being single in a relationship world

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it’s easy to think that it’s better to be in a romantic relationship, but there are many benefits to living the single life. Journalism student covers inauguration for PBS NewsHour blog

The presidential inauguration draws heavy media coverage every four years – with pictures of the swearing in, the parade and the traditional black tie balls.

But when CU Journalism major Rob Denton covered this year’s inauguration for a PBS NewsHour blog, he gave his audience a look at much different events using some entirely new digital technology.

University of Colorado Sports Medicine Internship

Learn about undergraduate Sports Medicine Internship opportunities working with CU varsity athletes. The internship starts August of Fall 2013. Gain practical experience in sports injury management, evaluation and rehabilitation. It’s a great opportunity for students interested in health careers.
