It’s a brisk January day on the University of Colorado Boulder campus, but Yousef Husain enjoys the chill in the air. He is a Kuwait native looking forward to a change in climate and a change in academic opportunities as a new student in CU-Boulder’s International English Center (IEC).

CU News Corps: Students gain experience, media outlets use their work

Katharina Buchholz awoke to the sound of her phone ringing at 7:30 on a morning last July. When she answered, a fellow student asked her to come to the Armory, where CU’s Journalism & Mass Communication program is headquartered. There had been a mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora.

CU’s Holocaust Awareness Week examines the impact of the Eichmann Trial

The University of Colorado Boulder’s Hillel and the Program in Jewish Studies are proud to be collaborating in the presentation of events for CU’s 29th Annual Holocaust Awareness Week. The date coincides with the United Nations’ International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is Jan. 27 and commemorates the anniversary of the Soviet liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. With the creation of International Holocaust Remembrance in Day in 2005, every member nation of the U.N.

Winter Bike to Work Day

Winter Bike to Work Day is Wednesday, Jan. 23!

The CU Bicycle Program is hosting a free breakfast station for bicycle commuters next Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 7 to 9 a.m. Drop by on your way to work for some bicycle cheer and free, warm breakfast and refreshments. CU's breakfast station will be located at the new Broadway/Euclid underpass. Take a moment to register online at goboulder.net and be entered to win great prizes.

'Places' site highlights campus spaces

Browse through high-resolution photos of many of the classrooms and other study spaces on campus. Get info on services and features in each place, such as power outlets, projectors, and seating. Places has been recently updated with Google Maps and photos of each building, proctor contact information, and new information about each place. We've made it available from off-campus, added non-classroom study and meeting spaces, and we've made the whole thing easier to use.
