Today, the University of Colorado Boulder Police Department (UCPD) conducted their annual training exercises on active shooter response called Rapid Emergency Deployment training. The exercise was held on the East Campus in the currently unoccupied McAllister Building on Discovery Drive.
UCPD dispatchers and police officers train frequently for active shooter incidents, and they work frequently with local law enforcement agencies.
Renowned actor and comedian Robin Williams will be at CU-Boulder on Friday, Jan. 18, in Macky Auditorium for a sit down discussion with television director and host of the Showtime series, Inside Comedy, David Steinberg. The sit down will begin at 8 p.m., and tickets are currently on sale.

Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Bernadette Faine Rochell from CU-Boulder. After 24 years of service to the University, Bernadette is happily making the leap into retirement on Jan. 31. The days of focusing on funds, accounts and spreadsheets will soon be replaced by days focusing on her grandson, Braxton.
