New RTD bus pass pick-up required Jan. 7-25

Students planning to use RTD services are strongly advised to pick up their new RTD CollegePass cards prior to Jan. 25 to ensure there is no disruption of service or transit access.

Alum builds tiny house on big philosophical ground

HARTSEL, Colo.—Christopher Smith knew he wanted to sink down some roots, preferably on a mountainside. He just didn’t know that the process would require so much time, sweat and money.

“I pretty much had no construction experience,” Smith said. “I didn’t own any tools, so there was a pretty big learning curve.”

Shalaya Kipp named 2012 College Women's Athlete-of-the-Year

The 2013 calendar year is starting off on a great note for University of Colorado senior Shalaya Kipp as she was named the 2012 College Women's Athlete-of-the-Year as selected by the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Student spring semester parking permits on sale now

To purchase a parking permit for spring semester, students will need their Identikey and password, and vehicle registration at time of purchase. Permits are available for pick up at Parking Services (1050 Regent Drive). A photo ID is required for pick-up. Parking Services' office hours are weekdays 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Project Nur introductory meeting Jan. 15

Project Nur, a student organization dedicated to promoting religious diversity, especially relating to the Muslim community, will have its introductory meeting for the semester on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. in Guggenheim, room 3. With chapters around the country, the organization works on both local and national levels to bring awareness about issues of religious persecution at home and around the world.

Participants needed for CU research study on mental health, earn $25

Earn $25 for participation in a 2-hour study. The Adolescent Development and Preventive Treatment (ADAPT) research program is looking for individuals to participate in a study of mental health and adolescent development.
