Ira Wolff Photographic History Collection expands Libraries' photographic holdings

With 14,000 original photographs and publications largely from the nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries, the recently acquired Ira Wolff Photographic History Collection offers a major scholarly resource for the study of the history of photography.

Colorado business confidence remains positive going into first quarter, says CU Leeds School index

Colorado business leaders’ optimism is modest going into the first quarter of 2013 with uncertainty surrounding the country’s political and economic environments, according to the most recent quarterly Leeds Business Confidence Index, or LBCI, released today by the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.

Colorado Combined Campaign online pledge site closes Jan. 7

Faculty and staff wishing to participate in this year’s Colorado Combined Campaign have until the end of business on Monday, January 7 to complete their online pledge. The Colorado Combined Campaign gives state employees an easy way to contribute to their choice of over 700 not-for-profit agencies serving Colorado and its communities. From the arts to the zoo, from health care to animal care, it is easy to find a cause that touches your heart.

ACCESS Registration Begins Jan. 11

Available Credit Courses For Eligible Special Students (ACCESS) registration for non-degree students begins Friday, Jan. 11. Non-degree students may register for spring semester daytime undergraduate and graduate classes if space is available or with instructor/department permission. Please refer students interested in the ACCESS program to Continuing Education and call 303-492-5148 for more information.

Data Center firewall upgrade will make Enterprise Services unavailable night of Jan. 3

The data center firewall in the Computing Center must be upgraded to higher performing hardware and this will take place on the night of Jan. 3 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. A number of key enterprise services including the portals and e-mail services will be unavailable for varying amounts of time during the upgrade window. Desire2Learn upgrade rescheduled for Jan. 2; Includes new tools & retirement of others

Desire2Learn (D2L), CU-Boulder's online learning environment, will be upgraded on Jan. 2, 2013 to a new version that improves usability, offers new functionality, and fixes a number of bugs and other known issues. The new features include a redesigned interface with a less-cluttered layout, simplified navigation bars, easier content creation, enhancements to the quiz tool and a lot more.
