What Amendment 64 means for CU-Boulder

As of this week, as a function of the passage of Amendment 64, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has signed into law the proclamation that legalizes the personal possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in Colorado. The law does not permit public use of marijuana by anyone under any circumstances, and allows possession only for those over the age of 21. Given some of the confusion about precisely what Amendment 64 means for CU, here is what I want people to know.

Get your grades, class schedule and book lists on your mobile devices

When your finals end and you’re checking every hour for the posting of your grades, you can now do it through the convenience of your smartphone. Through mobile MyCUInfo you can check your grades, view class schedules and location, book lists and more, all on a smartphone or other mobile device. The schedules, books, and grades you can access in the Student tab of MyCUInfo are presented in a mobile-friendly format so you always have them with you.

CU-Boulder, vet hospital team up for clinical study to treat canine pain

Denver-Boulder area pet owners who have dogs suffering from chronic pain are being sought to participate in a free clinical study. The new study, targeting an effective treatment for canines as a stepping stone to possible treatment for humans suffering chronic pain, is driven by research spearheaded by Distinguished Professor Linda Watkins of CU-Boulder's psychology and neuroscience department.

CU-Boulder double-degree credit requirements changed

Starting in January 2013 it will become easier for students to earn some double degrees on the University of Colorado Boulder campus so that they can complete their academic goals more quickly and with less cost.

Free student film festival on climate change

Students and campus members are invited to join a panel of judges in viewing a series of student-produced short films on climate change, during a free film festival on Friday, Dec. 14, from 5-8 p.m. in ATLAS 100. Students will present several five-minute films as their final projects for the class, Climate Change and Video: Science and Expression Through Video Production and Presentation.
