CU Commute: Networking and trip tracking for off-campus students and staff

The University of Colorado community can now access commuter and carpool resources through CU Commute, a social networking website for University commuters. CU Commute is a platform that networks users by alternative modes of transportation and provides commuter carpooling options. Created through a partnership between CU’s Parking & Transportation Services and the Environmental Center, CU Commute offers resources and incentives for students, faculty and staff who are interested in sustainable transportation.

Brooks: MacIntyre makes winning first impression

It was a whirlwind day for Mike MacIntyre, who was approached by CU, presented a weekend offer and accepted before first setting foot on the Boulder campus. He arrived in Colorado at mid-afternoon Monday, met with CU President Bruce Benson, Chancellor Phil DiStefano and Bohn, then met with his new team for about 35 minutes prior to the press conference. He advised them to “do well on exams, don’t do a double negative – just because you’re down a little on what happened, I’m here to help you move forward.

President’s Teaching and Learning Collaborative’s 2013-14 Call for Proposals

Central to the work of the Collaborative is creating and publishing scholarship in teaching and learning that contributes both to theory and effective teaching practice in and across disciplines. To this end, each Faculty Researcher designs and undertakes an investigation aimed at deepening understanding of disciplinary pedagogy and related to an important issue in learning.

RTD: January Service Changes

The RTD January 2013 service changes will be implemented on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. Route 225 will reduce midday frequency from half-hour to hourly service between East Boulder Community Center and the Lafayette Park-n-Ride.

Palestinian Lives Film Series: Screening of Budrus 12/12 7 p.m.

Come join us in a viewing of Budrus, a documentary about one Palestinian village's peaceful struggle to survive. After being designated for destruction in order to pave the way for Israel's Separation Barrier, one man and his daughter leads a movement which inspires unity in among local members of Hamas and Fatah as well as the support of Israelis, whom don't wish to be separated from their neighbors.
