Class project leads to holiday benefit concert for the homeless

One student’s class project has led him to see homeless people in a new light. The result of his experience is a holiday concert to benefit the homeless.

Like many people, Joe Cherof, a freshman majoring in business, had walked by homeless musicians playing on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall. Cherof would sometimes toss a couple of dollars into their hat. That all changed the day Cherof noticed a familiar face playing music on the mall.

CUSG: What we've done so far

As the University of Colorado Student Government, we get the honor of helping CU rise to excellence by giving the students quality services through the seven Cost Centers under our control and to also act as the bridge between the students and the administration.

CU-led team receives $9.2 million DOE grant to engineer E. coli into biofuels

A team led by the University of Colorado Boulder has been awarded $9.2 million over five years from the U.S. Department of Energy to research modifying E. coli to produce biofuels such as gasoline.

Grand Menorah Lighting and Celebration

Come celebrate Chanukah together on campus with hundreds of CU students. Special Guest Michael Leeds will light the 1st Candle. Join Chabad and the Jewish Student Association, Monday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Visual Arts Complex Plaza. Live Music! Latkes! Jelly Doughnuts! Hot Drinks! Get a free Menorah and Candles. You can also enter a raffle for $100 Chanukah Gelt!
