Leeds student takes 'gaming' to another level

Leeds School of Business student Zhenghua Yang and a team of programmers, artists and game designers melded their passion for video games into Serenity Forge, an independent video game developing company.

Surprisingly, the Boulder based company was created in 2008 while the founders were still in high school, said Yang. Now, team members work remotely, reporting to Yang, who is the head programmer, from establishments around the country such as Stanford University and St. Olaf College.

Good news for Colorado's economy

Colorado will continue on the road to recovery and add a variety of jobs in 2013 across almost all business sectors following a positive year in 2012, according to economist Richard Wobbekind of the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.

CU-Boulder students to demonstrate engineering projects at Dec. 8 Design Expo

More than 350 engineering students at the University of Colorado Boulder will demonstrate their innovations and inventions to the community at the annual fall Engineering Design Expo on Saturday, Dec. 8.

CUSG to make a decision on tobacco-free resolution, students invited to voice opinions

The University of Colorado Student Government (CUSG) will make a decision on a resolution in support of a tobacco-free campus during a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. However, we want to hear from students on the issue. The meeting is open to the public and students have the opportunity to have their voices heard at the beginning of the meeting during the public open hearing. We invite everyone to come out and have their voices heard on this issue.

Congratulations to Buff Energy Star winners: Jerry Greene (MCDB) and Clark Oldroyd (Koenig Alumni Center)

Two campus buildings—the Koenig Alumni Center and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB)—attained Buff Energy Star status during the 2011-2012 fiscal year, in which building employees reduce energy usage by at least 5% over the previous fiscal year.

Chanukah Dinner Party

Join Chabad at CU for a free buffet dairy dinner: Latkes, chocolate gelt and jelly donuts. Games and prizes too! There are a few games with prizes as well. Spin the Dreidel and Chanukah Jeopardy. Amazing door prizes will be given out, please bring a can of food which will be donated to the local food pantry. Celebrate Chanukah in style!
