Museum of Natural History celebrates Archaeology Day

Archaeology is everywhere you turn as the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History, the Archaeological Institute of America, CU Anthropology and Classics departments join together to celebrate National Archaeology Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20.

Join the challenge! Take the Pac-12 Fitness Challenge

Help CU secure the title of the Pac-12's most active school by participating in the Pac-12 Fitness Challenge from Oct. 22-28. The challenge is a conference-wide initiative promoting regular physical activity. This event is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and family.

Households manage plug-in hybrids without help from online tools, says CU-led study

Households with plug-in hybrid vehicles, or PHVs, and smart meters actively managed how, when and where they charged their cars based on electricity rates but rarely took advantage of online feedback, a University of Colorado Boulder study found.

CU-Boulder’s Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute, or RASEI, today presented findings from the two-year study -- one of the only of its kind, combining both household and vehicle data in a smart-grid context.

Nominate Women Who Make A Difference

The Women's Resource Center is looking for nominations for Women Who Make A Difference, one of our biggest events. Women Who Make A Difference is a program designed to celebrate and honor women in our community who have made a difference in people's lives. The Women’s Resource Center invites you to nominate any spectacular women in your life for Women Who Make a Difference, a celebratory dinner on Dec. 11 for influential women in our lives. Nomination forms are available in UMC 416, or attached to this email. Submissions are due Friday, Nov. 16 by 5 p.m.

The RASEI Big Energy Seminar Series brings nationally and internationally recognized speakers with a focus on large, secure, sustainable energy systems to Colorado. Sign up for an RTD rider alert

Do you ride an RTD bus to campus? When special events, construction, or maintenance impacts bus route schedules and stops, information is sent out to riders via email about detours, delays and stop relocations. How do you get these emails? Sign up for the RTD rider alert system! Subscribers can tailor their settings to receive notices about specific routes when impacts occur.
