Sam Gill, Professor and Associate Chair Religious Studies, A major challenge of online courses arises in the obvious distance of the participants, students and faculty, from one another. How can online courses be developed and presented so that everyone feels some personal connection with one another through the term of the course? This ‘how to’ presentation will offer a number of examples and techniques that help to create community and even take advantage of the distance among participants.

The Changing Energy Mix, a half-day conference exploring some of the dramatic changes taking place in the energy sector, with particular attention to the U.S. electric power sector will be held Oct. 23 from 2:30 - 6:45 p.m. in the University of Colorado Law School, Room 101. FERC Commissioner Tony Clark will will close the conference with a keynote address.
The event is co-sponsored by The Getches-Wilkinson Center for Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment.
