Living in paradise requires us to be on our game

We have chosen a beautiful place to live and go to school. While we are close to hiking and biking trails and numerous ski resorts, camping areas and other recreation spots, we need to respect these places.
 
So when you are out recreating in and around Boulder and in the nearby foothills and mountains, please keep your personal safety in mind.

Mission to study past climate on Mars enters final phase before slated 2013 launch

A University of Colorado Boulder-led mission to explore and understand how the loss of atmospheric gas has changed the climate of Mars over the eons has been authorized by NASA to proceed to system delivery, spacecraft integration, testing and launch, which is slated for November 2013.

Boulder campus fares well in U.S. News' 2013 Best Colleges rankings

The campuses and undergraduate programs of the University of Colorado maintained high rankings among national and regional institutions in the latest edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges.
 
The 2013 report, released today, shows the University of Colorado Boulder ranked at No. 42 among top Public National Universities; the University of Colorado Denver’s downtown campus ranked 108th on the same list.

Boulder police release sketch of suspect from assault that seriously injured CU student

Boulder police are asking for the campus community’s help with identifying a suspect from a Sept. 9 assault. The Police Department has released a sketch of the suspect and asks anyone who recognizes him or has information on the crime to call 303-441-3369.

The Crane Wife - multimedia puppet theater

The Crane Wife, a puppet theater performance for all ages, is based on a Japanese folktale. The show features mystical masks, shadow movement and live music. See Eastern & Western traditions come together to tell a touching story of love, trust and greed this Friday and Saturday in the Atlas Black Box theater.

An Evening with Mondo Guerra from Project Runway

The Cultural Events Board, Queer People of Color, and EyeResist present an Evening with Mondo Guerra from Project Runway on Sept. 20, 7-9 p.m. in the Old Main Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Introducing the GEA (Graduate Entrepreneurs Association)

The GEA is a group of graduate students that are passionate about creation, innovation, collaboration and startups. We are funded by the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship and have been around for years. We're having our kickoff meeting at 12:30 next Friday, Sept. 14 in Leeds School/Koelbel Room S125.
