Colorado Supreme Court upholds CU dismissal of Ward Churchill

The Colorado Supreme Court on Monday affirmed rulings by the Colorado Court of Appeals and the trial court in favor of the University of Colorado Board of Regents in connection with the dismissal of CU ethnic studies Professor Ward Churchill in 2007.

The court “accepted as fact” that CU properly investigated and adjudicated acts of plagiarism, fabricating evidence and violations of the university’s academic standards by Churchill.

$2 million investment in Leeds School of Business launches two new undergraduate business programs

The Anschutz Foundation has committed $2 million to launch two new initiatives designed to make the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder a more powerful economic contributor to Colorado and beyond.

Mountain forest study shows vulnerability to climate change

A new University of Colorado Boulder-led study that ties forest “greenness” in the western United States to fluctuating year-to-year snowpack indicates mid-elevation mountain ecosystems are most sensitive to rising temperatures and changes in precipitation and snowmelt.

Warmer air temperatures since the 1980s may explain significant increases in zinc and other metal concentrations of ecological concern in a Rocky Mountain watershed, reports a new study led by the U.S. Geological Survey and the University of Colorado Boulder.

CU Youth Piano Program

The CU Youth Piano Program offers weekly, one-hour or half-hour private or group lessons ages 6-17. Instructors are experienced teachers from the CU College of Music, and the program is supervised by the CU Piano Pedagogy Chair, Dr. Alejandro Cremaschi.

The Bursar's Office to have limited business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 , the Bursar's Office will be closed until 3:15 p.m. so the staff can attend a special training. Payroll checks will not be available until after that time. The office will be open from 3:15-5 p.m. on Sept. 11.

2012 Energy Justice Conference Sept. 17-18

Suburbia

The 2012-2013 Theatre & Dance season opens with Eric Bogosian's "sUburbia," directed by Karen Dabney and performed by CU's esteemed student actors. Bogosian’s venomously funny commentary on American values opens Sept. 12 at CU's Loft Theatre. Over the course of a single, explosive evening, relationships will be forged and destroyed as alienated youth confront the aimlessness of their suburban lives.
