Dozens of activities await new students at CU-Boulder starting Aug. 23, including a welcome convocation, “Global Jam” international food and music fest and a live concert on Farrand Field.

CU-Boulder will respect the right of concealed carry

Many of you are aware that last March the Colorado Supreme Court ruled the University of Colorado Board of Regents lacks the authority to enact any provision against the Colorado Concealed Carry law. Last week, as I’m sure you are aware, we informed the campus and the public of how the law would be implemented on campus, with provisions for concealed carry permit holders to live in graduate student apartments.

IT service center hours extended

A universal lament of busy people is that there aren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish everything, but the Office of Information Technology is changing that. We’re not exactly slowing down the earth’s rotation, but we are extending the hours in each day that you can get e-mail or phone support from the IT Service Center.

Safety update: Boulder police warn of University Hill burglary spike

In late July, 14 burglaries were reported at residences in the general area of 10th to 12th streets and Euclid to University avenues.

The Boulder Police Department has seen a recent rise in burglaries in the University Hill neighborhood. In late July, 14 burglaries were reported at residences in the general area of 10th to 12th streets andEuclid to University avenues. USA Pro Cycling Challenge comes to Boulder 8/25

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge comes to Boulder Aug. 25, and will be one of the largest events in city history. More than 100,000 spectators are expected to be in town to cheer on cyclists for Colorado’s biggest bike race. Learn more about campus impacts and resources for race day.
