Later Stone Age got earlier start in South Africa than thought

The Later Stone Age emerged in South Africa more than 20,000 years earlier than previously believed -- about the same time humans were migrating from Africa to the European continent, says a new international study led by CU-Boulder researcher Paola Villa, a curator at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History .

Finalists announced for CU-Boulder vice chancellor for administration

Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance Steven McNally today announced two finalists for the position of vice chancellor for administration at the University of Colorado Boulder.

The search committee, chaired by McNally, has recommended Kambiz Khalili, interim assistant vice chancellor for student affairs and executive director of housing and dining services on the CU-Boulder campus, and Louise Vale, director of internal audit for the University of Colorado System, as the two finalists.

President Obama’s April CU-Boulder visit cost just under $110,000

The University of Colorado Boulder today released figures on the visit of President Barack Obama to campus on April 24 that showed the visit cost just under $110,000.

Funding for the visit will come from existing insurance rebates to the university, and will not result in any tuition or fee increase to students or reductions in campus budgets.
