Last Friday, our state once again bore witness to a horrific act of violence that has stunned all of us. Like the Columbine shootings 13 years ago, the Aurora movie theater murders are a challenge to our hearts, our minds and our community itself.

Four CU-Boulder faculty honored with Presidential Early Career Award

Following only behind MIT, CU-Boulder ranked second in the nation with four University of Colorado Boulder faculty named among 96 U.S. researcher recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, or PECASE.

From the Leeds School to the London 2012 Olympic Games

The opening ceremony of the Olympics—with the parade of nations and athletes and the lighting of the Olympic flame—reminds Jordan Valutas, 2007 alumna of the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business, why she works so hard as client services manager at CoSport, a leading provider of consumer hospitality packages and individual event tickets to the Olympic Games.

Help make campus technology more accessible


It’s hard to imagine campus life without the help of computer technology that supports our everyday teaching, research and administrative work. But what if a physical disability restricted your access to that technology? The campus is commissioning a study of how CU-Boulder addresses accessibility requirements related to technology.

Nominations sought for 2012-13 University Perspective Program

The University Perspective Program is an engaging and educational development opportunity for qualified CU-Boulder and System Administration staff. Nominations are due Aug. 10, 2012 for the 2012-2013 program kicking off this fall.
