With the receipt of the Independent Investigative Commissions report, the University of Colorado continues to move forward in addressing the issues surrounding the athletic department, the football program and our programs and policies on sexual assault, sexual harassment and alcohol abuse. The decisions we make in the coming weeks will be some of the most crucial the institution has faced.

Whatever the ultimate decisions, they will be made with the leadership of Chancellor Richard Byyny as the head of the Boulder campus. The Chancellor has continued to lead the campus during these difficult times, and I believe he can lead the campus through future changes. Together, the Chancellor and I will take all of the reports we are receiving into account as we move forward in making decisions by the end of the month.
