We empathize with the parents, who are watching their children go through a particularly difficult time in the life of the university. We too, support our student athletes, almost all of whom are fine, caring and upstanding members of the university community.

And we too, wish to have a successful football program — one that can serve as a national model in its policies and practices as well as its competitiveness. Our goal is to develop a program that will maintain pride in the CU football program. That is why we remain committed to fully analyzing the available facts and the recommendations from multiple sources before setting our course for the future.

We encourage the parents to continue to work with us in the process of information gathering and investigation. Their valuable input will be crucial to the ultimate conclusions we reach as a university and the direction we take.
