International education

International education has been incorporated into the lives of many at the University of Colorado Boulder, enriching the academic and cultural environment of campus and beyond.

As a leader in the state of Colorado among higher education institutions, CU-Boulder was home to 1,681 international students during the 2011-12 school year. CU-Boulder sent 1,316 students overseas during the 2010-11 school year. It also ranked No. 12 in the nation for study abroad participation in semester-long programs, according to the Institute for International Education.

CU-Boulder and the Office of International Education celebrate International Education Week Nov. 12-16, 2012, and the campus community's pursuit of some of the greatest academic, research and service endeavors around the world.
