Burlington will host an exhibit of graphic art prints depicting work scenes as part of the CU This Summer cultural outreach program from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

The exhibit, “By the Sweat of Your Brow: Images of Work,” will be shown from May 24 through Sept. 1 in Old Town Museum, the local sponsor, at 420 S. 14th St. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for youngsters ages 12 to 18 and $2 for ages three through 11.

Brighton will host an exhibit of insect photographs as part of the CU This Summer cultural outreach program of the University of Colorado at Boulder.

The exhibit, “Small Wonders: Insect Photos by Fran Hall,” will be shown from May 24 through Sept. 1 in the Adams County Museum, the local sponsor, at 9601 Henderson Road.

Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Donations are requested.

Photographer Fran Hall, now in his eighties, will give a free public talk about his work on Sunday, June 8, at 4 p.m. in the Adams County Museum.

Pueblo will host a week-long series of performances of two children’s operas as part of the CU This Summer cultural outreach program of the University of Colorado at Boulder.

The CU-Boulder Lyric Theatre for Children will perform “Little Red Riding Hood” by Seymour Barab and “Hansel and Gretel” by Engelbert Humperdinck in Pueblo area schools from May 19 through May 24.

Grand Junction will host an exhibit of early Southwestern weaving as part of the CU This Summer cultural outreach program of the University of Colorado at Boulder.

The exhibit, “Beyond the Loom: Keys to Understanding Early Southwestern Textiles,” will be shown from May 24 through Sept. 1 at the Museum of Western Colorado, the CU This Summer local sponsor.

The large color photographs in the exhibit are accompanied by text and graphics showing the early history and methods of weaving by native people of the Southwest.
