Benson was named the sole candidate for CU president at a night meeting of the Board of Regents on Jan. 30. He spoke at the open forum for faculty, staff and students at 2 p.m. Monday in the University Memorial Center. He also met with faculty at 4 p.m. Monday at the UMC and met earlier in the day with campus administrators.
A CU-Boulder alumnus, businessman, philanthropist and Republican Party leader, Benson is scheduled to meet this week with faculty, staff and students at the Denver and Colorado Springs campuses.
