Jeff Bzdelik has been named the 17th men's basketball head coach for the University of Colorado men's basketball program, Athletic Director Mike Bohn announced Wednesday morning during a press conference at the University Memorial Center on the CU-Boulder campus.

Bzdelik comes to CU from the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he guided the Falcons to a 50-16 record in two seasons from 2005-07. He replaces Ricardo Patton, who announced last Oct. 25 that he would not opt to seek or accept a contract extension after 11 years as head coach.
