Colorado residents age 55 and older can register to audit regular spring semester classes at the University of Colorado at Boulder through the Senior Auditors Program Jan. 18-19.
Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Koenig Alumni Center, 1202 University Ave. on the southeast corner of University Avenue and Broadway. More than 175 senior auditors registered last fall.
Auditors may select from classes in the Schedule of Courses, which is available online at http://registrar.colorado.edu/Registration/RHSC/SpringSchedule.pdf. A printed copy also is available at the Koenig Alumni Center.
The program, sponsored by the CU-Boulder Alumni Association and the First National Bank of Colorado, allows seniors to audit classes tuition-free on a space-available basis. Regular tuition-paying students have priority over auditors. Auditors earn no academic credit. A processing fee of $5 for Alumni Association members and $40 for nonmembers is due at registration.
Age and Colorado residency are the only prerequisites for participation. No limit is placed on the number of classes participants may audit. Auditors do not have to be alumni of CU.
Volunteers will be available during registration to answer questions.
The CU Board of Regents created the Senior Auditors Program in 1973 to increase CU-Boulder's service to Colorado citizens. For more information call the CU-Boulder Alumni Association at (303) 492-6245 or visit the Web site at http://cualum.org/seniorauditor.
