Students build model of campus using 3-D printer

During a Maymester course called Model Building: Reimagining a New Campus Model, tech savvy undergraduate students used a 3-D printer to design and create a model of campus. The course helped prepare environmental design students for a resurging use of models in the design world, with early experience using state-of-the-art systems. The project was commissioned and supported by CU-Boulder's Facilities Management to replace the current campus model, which was created in 1988 and lacks many of the newer campus features.
