CU-Boulder Baffin Island climate research

A new CU-Boulder study shows the Arctic may be the warmest it's been in 120,000 years. Professor Gifford Miller and his team used dead mosses on the edges of receding ice caps as clocks to date warming periods on Baffin Island. Located just east of Greenland, the 196,000-square-mile Baffin Island is the fifth largest island in the world.
