Neeraja Sadagopan received her Ph.D. in speech science from Purdue University in 2008. Dr. Sadagopan is currently an assistant professor in the department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Sadagopan’s primary research interest is speech motor control in aging. More specifically, her research is focused on three main areas: 1) Neural plasticity and speech motor learning in aging, 2) Interactions between top-down and bottom-up processes that influence speech production in elderly individuals, and 3) Changes to speech motor control and learning with neurological disease. Dr. Sadagopan’s research uses behavioral and physiological measures, including kinematics and EMG, to study speech production.
