Dr. Mozer's research has centered on computational models
in psychology and neuropsychology, particularly the phenomena
of visual attention and its pathologies, awareness, and object
recognition. He aims to develop models of broad scope that
integrate a range of phenomena into a unified framework. Because
of their breadth, these models consist of multiple, functionally
distinct modules whose interaction gives rise to cognition.
Dr. Mozer has also worked on applications of neural networks
to problems in artificial intelligence and engineering, including
compiler optimization, speech recognition, and adaptive control
of building energy systems.
