Dr. Bekoff's major research interests are in the areas of
neuroethology and motor control. Specifically, she is interested
in the development of coordinated behaviors such as embryonic
motility, hatching, walking, and courtship displays. Her work
focuses on the mechanisms by which neural pattern generating
circuits are modulated or modified during ontogeny. Dr. Bekof's
laboratory uses neurophysiological, behavioral (kinematic),
neuroanatomical and neurochemical methods to investigate these
questions.
