If you are having difficulty accessing your MyCUBoulder account, please read our troubleshooting tips below.
- Change your browser
Internet browsers play a key role in your MyCUBoulder experience. In order to have the best possible experience, we recommend using Firefox, Internet Explorer 9, or Safari to browse MyCUBoulder. Browsers tend to change frequently and contain settings that directly affect your experience. MyCUBoulder is tested using multiple browsers and platforms, but is not optimized to run with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 10. If you are using one of the recommended browsers and are still having trouble accessing your account, please follow our troubleshooting tips, or submit a support form.
- Clear your browsing history
If you are having difficulty with your account please try clearing your browsing history (also known as browser cache) before following any of the other troubleshooting tips on this page. You may also want to try using a different browser to log into your account. Mozilla Firefox provides the best environment for MyCUBoulder. If you are not able to use Firefox we strongly encourage you to clear your browsing history before logging in.
- How to log in
Enter your MyCUBoulder username and password in the fields provided on the login page. If you do not remember your username, DO NOT create another account. You can retrieve it by clicking the “Forgot your User Name?” the password reset page. If you do not remember your password you can reset it by filling out the reset password form.
- Changing your MyCUBoulder username
You cannot change your MyCUBoulder username once your account has been created. If you have forgotten your username, you can retrieve it by clicking the “Forgot your User Name?” link on password reset page. A link to retrieve your username will be e-mailed to you.
- Resetting your password
You can reset your password anytime by clicking here. Follow the instructions on both password reset pages. (Your password will not be e-mailed to you but will take effect immediately). Please write down your password and keep it in a safe place.
- Bad username/ password error
If you get the bad username/password error when you log in please try resetting your password and checking your username. DO NOT create another account. You can reset your password by going to the password reset page. You can retrieve your username by clicking the “Forgot Your User Name?” link on the password reset page. If you are not able to log in after resetting your password and checking your username, fill out the MyCUBoulder support form.
- Account not properly created error:
If you get an error stating your account is not properly created you may not have completed the online contact card in its entirety when you first created your account. DO NOT create another account. Please fill out the MyCUBoulder support form and an admissions representative will contact you when the account is properly created.
- Account does not display correct information
If you do not see correct information when you log into your account (ex. You are an applicant and you see information encouraging you to apply) you may have duplicate accounts. Please fill out the MyCUBoulder support form and our tech team will contact you with what to do next.
- Guest access
Parents and family members should not create new accounts for their students. This can cause significant problems and hinder your student’s ability to access their information throughout the enrollment process. If you are assisting them with their admission to CU-Boulder, please work together and share an account that you can both use to access information and complete business with the university.
