Welcome to our web site!

The Rocky Mountain Society for Music Theory is the regional organization affiliated with the Society for Music Theory. Annual conferences are held throughout the Rocky Mountain region, including Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona.

The 2012 regional conference will take place from March 30 - 31 at the University of Northern Colorado in Greely, Colorado.

The deadline for submissions has been EXTENDED to January 31st, 2012!!

Congratulations to Diego Cubero (Indiana University) who won the best graduate student paper at the April 2011 conference, with his study entitled "Motivic Temporality and Temporal Coherence in Haydn's Piano Sonata in C Major, Hob. XVI:50/i".
