Rocky Mountain Society for Music Theory HomepageWelcome to our web site!The Rocky Mountain Society for Music Theory is the regional organization affiliated with the Society for Music Theory. Annual conferences are held throughout the Rocky Mountain region, including Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona. The 2013 regional conference took place on Friday and Saturday, April 5-6, at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Congratulations to John Muniz (Yale University), winner of the 2013 Best Student Paper Award, for his paper titled "xTransformation at the Margins of Tonality: Scriabin's Seventh Piano Sonata." There is a lot of new information regarding the 2013 conference.
