NOTE: These audition requirements are for students who intend to pursue a major in music. Ensemble audition information is listed on the Ensemble web pages.
Undergraduate auditions are held at the College of Music on select Saturdays in January and February. Special programs and question-and-answer sessions are arranged for students and parents who wish to attend, beginning at 8 am on these audition days. Other audition times are available on an individual basis (contact faculty for arrangement). If travel distance is prohibitive, a high-quality audio or video recording may be substituted. Please see the Recorded Audition Guidelines for information on how to submit recorded auditions. Recordings and all alternative live auditions must be completed by the last Saturday audition day for applicants to be considered for merit-based assistance from the College of Music.
