Summer Jazz Academy

The CU Summer Jazz Academy will be an opportunity for a select number of talented music students from Colorado and around the country to receive world-class jazz instruction in a one-week summer session.  The selected participants will be placed into jazz combo settings, and each student will also be divided up into one of many improvisation classes in order to gain invaluable educational experiences.  Students will also participate in instrumental master classes and seminar sessions with the camp’s nationally renowned guest artist and with the CU Jazz Studies faculty.  Every evening there will be student performances and a jam session featuring the guest artist and the faculty in which students will participate. At the conclusion of the camp the students will perform at a final concert for their parentas and fellow campers.
